🏆 ISKA Light Weight State Champion 🏆
Updated: Nov 17, 2021
We had an awesome night out at the Muay Thai fights on Saturday night with 2 wins and 2 very close losses.
Unfortunately one of our other fighters Liam Peterson making his debut got pulled out on Saturday morning due to his opponent getting sick.
First up from AMMA gym and first fight of the show was Boy Lin Soe who was making his debut.
With Strong kicking and great set ups saw him came away with a strong unanimous points victory.
Next up was Shelby Dines making it her second fight she started really strong with some really great kicks, punches and movement. There was never a time she looked in danger and we thought we had the win but unfortunately the judges saw it the other way, awarding her opponent a split point decision.
Third fight for us was Jammer Alejaga having a very tough opponent and taking it to him. In the second round he caught a hard punch that sent him down but got up to answer the count. Then coming out hard in the third round with both boys smashing it out.
But unfortunately losing the fight.
Then last fight and main event was Jay Fletcher who fought the best fight of his life following the game plan to the letter. Landing pin point accurate jabs and great push kicks to keep his opponent away. Then by the end of round 4 he had cut his opponent with some beautiful timed vicious elbows and really starting to turn up the heat leaving no answers for his opponent and claiming victory and the ISKA lightweight state title.
Well done to the team of fighters and our awesome corner team and coaches Brett Grasso Melben Alejaga, Ash Win, Mitch Holder and Eh Kaw for all their extra effort and dedication.
Lastly thank you to everyone that came down to support the team and cheer them on. 👊❤️🙏
